Frequently Asked Questions

Hardware Equipment

How do I turn on a Logger? Loggers are plug-and-play and automatically connect to the nearest Relay in range. There is no power switch.
How should a Logger be positioned? Keep Loggers off of the ground and elevated when possible. To optimize Logger signal, do not place them inside or underneath steel enclosures or formwork.
What is the lifespan of an RH Logger? The RH sensor inside of the logger can withstand up to 6 months in a 100% RH environment.
Can probes be reused? Probes are intended to be sacrificial. EXACT tests every probe in-house but cannot guarantee their accuracy if reused.
How long is the battery life for a Relay? A fully charged Relay will last 3-4 weeks and can be recharged in approximately 16 hours using the supplied power adapter.
What is the coverage for one Relay? With complete line of sight, one Relay can communicate with multiple Loggers within a 100 acre area. Typical monitoring setups require 2 Relays.
How should a Relay be positioned? Keep Relays off of the ground and within line of sight of loggers when possible. To optimize relay signal, keep elevated and do not place them inside or underneath steel enclosures or formwork.
What equipment is required for a maturity calibration? A maturity calibration can be conducted using 2 probes, 1 Logger, and 1 Relay. The cylinders cast for strength breaks and temperature monitoring can be cured in an EXACT Match device to provide a more accurate maturity curve.
How do I turn on an EXACT Match? EXACT Match devices are turned on by plugging into a power source and flipping the power switch on the control box.
How many EM2s can be stacked? EXACT Match 2 (large) can be stacked 2 high. EXACT Match 2 (mini) can be stacked 3 high.
